Preparations for the historic Bali Yatra are officially underway, with the plot auction process commencing today and running through November 10. Managed by seven dedicated administration teams, daily auctions take place from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, featuring a midday break between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
Following a registration deadline on October 31 with base fees set between ₹60 and ₹65, this year’s auction is expected to feature roughly 300 to 400 plots. To maintain order, the Cuttack district administration has enforced a strict policy: registered participants who fail to attend the auction will forfeit their deposited fees.
While the business community displays high enthusiasm and anticipation over plot allocations, local traders have voiced a need for enhanced transparency and improvements within the current auction framework. As bidding unfolds, all eyes remain fixed on Cuttack to see which traders secure prime locations for the grand festival.
