A shoe shop near the Rayagada Tehsil office was ravaged by a fire on Saturday evening, resulting in significant losses. The blaze, believed to have been caused by a short circuit, destroyed goods worth over Rs 3 lakh.
Upon receiving information about the fire, the fire department promptly dispatched a team to the scene. Despite their efforts, the shop was already reduced to ashes by the time they arrived and managed to douse the flames.
The shop owner is reportedly distraught after the incident, having lost a substantial amount of stock and property. The local police are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the damage.
