The Khordha district police have busted a major inter-district burglary and looting ring, arresting 12 individuals—including a receiver of stolen goods—and cracking 15 major theft and dacoity cases spanning the last two years.
Authorities recovered 500 grams of gold jewelry and 11 kilograms of silver ornaments from the suspects, who hail from Khordha, Ganjam, and Puri.
Targeted Areas & Operations:
The gang primarily struck residential homes and jewelry shops across Khordha (Tangi, Nachuni, Banpur, and Balugaon police limits) and Nayagarh (Chandpur police limits), including a recent high-profile jewelry store burglary in Banpur.
Acting on directives from Khordha SP Parmar Smit Parshottamdas and under the supervision of Balugaon SDPO Sanjay Kumar Pattnaik, a special police team carried out coordinated raids across multiple locations to dismantle the syndicate.
