All government and private schools, colleges, and Anganwadi centers in the Malkangiri district will remain closed from November 2 to November 4.
Ordered by the District Collector, this precautionary closure comes in response to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall and a potential cyclone in the region.
The three-day shutdown covers all educational institutions, ranging from primary schools and Anganwadi centers to Plus Two and degree colleges.
Despite the suspension of regular classes, administration officials confirmed two key exceptions:
Exams: All previously scheduled examinations will proceed strictly as planned.
Staff: All teaching and non-teaching personnel must report for duty.
