The matriculation examination in Odisha commences today, with 5 lakh 22 thousand 336 students set to appear at 3133 centers across the state. The first day's examination will focus on the first language paper, and the exams will continue until March 6.
Exam Schedule and Arrangements
- Examination timing: 9 am to 11:30 am
- Entry time for candidates: 7:30 am
- Question paper distribution: Between 7:30 am and 8:30 am from nodal centers to examination centers
To ensure the smooth conduct of the examination, 314 nodal centers have been established across 30 districts. Additionally, four-tier squads have been formed to prevent malpractice, comprising 42 squads by the board, 90 squads by the district education officer in Cuttack, and squads by the district administration and police administration.
Security Measures
- CCTV cameras: 10 cameras installed in each examination center
- Question paper security: Watermarks, static QR codes, and dynamic codes to prevent viral circulation
- Restricted items: Colored water bottles not allowed inside examination halls in Cuttack; only transparent bottles permitted
The board has also set up a central command control room at its head office to monitor the examination centers live.
