Following the Indian military's Operation Sindoor, tensions between India and Pakistan are expected to escalate further. In view of this, a high alert has been issued to various border states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh.


- BSF Personnel: All leaves for Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have been cancelled, and those on leave have been ordered to report back to their respective headquarters immediately.

- Flight Operations: Around 200 flight operations have been cancelled since midnight as a precautionary measure.


Union Home Minister Amit Shah held crucial meetings with the Chief Ministers and Police Chiefs of several states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, West Bengal, and Ladakh. The meetings aimed to discuss security measures and strategies to address the heightened tensions.


The government's swift action reflects its commitment to ensuring national security and preparedness in the face of potential escalations.
