Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a grand ceremony in Bhubaneswar to mark the completion of one year of the BJP government in Odisha, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The event was attended by thousands of party workers and leaders from across the state.


Key Highlights of PM Modi's Address

- Projects Worth ₹18,600 Crore: PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth over ₹18,600 crore, covering sectors like drinking water, irrigation, agricultural infrastructure, health infrastructure, rural roads, and bridges.

- Ayushman Bharat and Lakshpati Didi: The Prime Minister distributed cards to beneficiaries of the Ayushman Vayo Vandana Yojana and felicitated women achievers, celebrating over 16.5 lakh Lakhpati Didis as symbols of prosperity and self-reliance.

- Odisha's Development Vision: PM Modi released the Odisha Vision Document, outlining an ambitious roadmap for inclusive growth, anchored around landmark years 2036 and 2047.


Critique of Congress Model

PM Modi criticized the Congress development model, stating it was known for stalling and obstructing development schemes and committing corruption. In contrast, the BJP's development model has brought about a new era of social and economic change in states like Assam and Tripura.


Focus on Tribal Welfare and Infrastructure

The Prime Minister highlighted the BJP government's efforts to bring tribal society out of violence and promote development in tribal areas. He also emphasized the importance of infrastructure development, including investments in road, rail, and air connectivity.


Odisha's Growth Story

PM Modi noted that Odisha is rapidly advancing towards becoming a major industrial state, with significant investments in petrochemicals and infrastructure development. The state has already seen investments of around ₹1.5 lakh crore in the petroleum and petrochemical sector.
