Bhubaneswar: In an instance of VVIP culture, an ambulance carrying a critical patient was held up in the heavy crowd in the Capital city to make way for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s carcade today.
The vehicle carrying the patient had to stop for around five minutes in the crowd that was held up from Forest Park to AG Square here.
Every side of the road was blocked for the Chief Minister’s convoy to pass through. When the ambulance reached the spot, it was caught in the heavy traffic and passed through only after the carcade of CM passed.
PCC president Niranjan Patnaik termed it as ‘feudalistic mindset of CM’.
“The feudalistic mindset of CM “sahab” on full display. Is the convenience of our CM more important than the life of a patient? This VVIP culture must end! There is nothing more important than a human life,” he tweeted.
