Bhubaneswar: A total of 5,87,720 students are appearing for the annual high school certificate (HSC) examinations at 2,953 centres across the State. The exam will conclude on March 8.
Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC have been clamped near sensitive and highly sensitive centres to avoid any untoward incidents.
The students were allowed to enter the examination centres at 9 am today. Every examination will be conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm. The students will be allotted extra 15 minutes for Mathematics and hence it will end at 12.45 pm.
At least 304 Nodal centres have been opened to keep the question papers while at least 693 dispatch teams have been formed to take the question papers to the centres.
While students are appearing First Language today, Second Language would be held on February 25, Third Language on February 27, Third Language (Sanskrit) on February 28, Mathematics on March 2, General Science on March 6 and Social Science on March 8, respectively.
