Malkangiri/Cuttack; It seems the controversy behind the HSC examination is far from over. After the report of repeated question paper viral, 108 OMR sheets were found missing from SSD High School examination centre in Malkangiri district.
The OMR sheets Mathematics the test of which subject was conducted yesterday are reportedly missing.
The centre authorities confirmed the report and have lodged a complaint at Padia police station on Sunday.
Sources said that the OMR sheets were shifted to the school’s office after the Maths exam concluded yesterday. However, when checked later, 108 sheets were found missing.
The matter was immediately taken to the notice of higher-ups who lodged complaint.
As per reports, as many as 120 students were allotted admit cards to appear for the Matric exams at SSD High School. However, only 108 students had appeared for the Maths exam on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Padia police along with the Sub-Collector and Additional District Collector rushed to the centre and launched an inquiry.
The police are interrogating the teachers and other staff on duty during the exam.
On the other hand, Board of Secondary Education (BSE) held the centre superintendent responsible as his negligence led to such fiasco. BSE president Jahan Ara Begum said the District Education Officer (DEO) of the concerned district has been asked conduct an inquiry and give report. According would be taken accordingly, she added.
