A devastating accident occurred in the early hours of the morning on National Highway 60 in Odisha's Balasore district. A passenger bus named Geetanjali, traveling from Bhograi to Jaleswar via Baripada, was hit by a truck from behind while taking a U-turn. The impact caused the bus to lose control and overturn, resulting in injuries to over 20 passengers.
Reportedly, there were more than 40 passengers on board.
Over 20 people sustained injuries and were admitted to the Jaleswar Community Health Center for primary treatment.
Locals and police personnel reached the spot and initiated rescue operations.
