A 12-member medical team at AIIMS Bhubaneswar is treating a student who attempted self-immolation due to alleged harassment by an assistant professor at Fakir Mohan Autonomous College in Balasore. The student's condition is critical, with 90-95% burns, and is currently on a ventilator in the ICU.

- The medical team is closely monitoring the patient's sugar levels and potassium levels, which have decreased significantly.

- Vitamin-C, D, A, and zinc supplements are being administered to support organ function.

- A video conference was held with Delhi AIIMS chief doctor to seek advice on the treatment.

- The state government will bear the entire cost of the student's medical treatment.
