Archana Nag, the prime accused in the high-profile honeytrap case in Odisha, has made shocking claims against top Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leaders and senior police officials. In a press conference held on Saturday, Nag alleged that she was subjected to a deep-rooted conspiracy to silence her and implicated several prominent figures.

Key Allegations:

- House Arrest: Nag claimed she was kept under house arrest two days before her official arrest on October 6, 2022. Her family members, including her son, house helper, driver, and mother, were also detained for 72 hours without knowing the complainant's identity.

- Evidence Destruction: She alleged that all evidence, including CCTV footage and hard disks, was destroyed after her arrest. The police did not provide any evidence to the investigating officer.

- Involvement of BJD Leaders and Police Officials: Nag named several BJD leaders, including Pranab Prakash Das (Bobby Das), Amaresh Jena, and Manas Mangaraj, as well as senior police officers like Prateek Singh, Prakash Pal, Himansu Sahu, and Anup Kanungo, accusing them of orchestrating a plot to frame her.

- Conspiracy to Kill: She claimed there was a conspiracy to kill her in Jharpada jail by injecting poison and that police officials frequently visited her in jail under the guise of "jail parade." Nag stated she survived only due to the help of fellow prisoners.

- Mental Harassment: Nag alleged she was subjected to mental harassment in jail, pressured to leave the state, and coerced into declaring herself mentally unstable.

Background:

Archana Nag was arrested in connection with a honeytrap and extortion case, accused of entrapping several high-profile individuals, including politicians, businessmen, and film producers. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been investigating the money laundering angle of the case.

Demand for Investigation:

Nag has demanded a thorough investigation into the allegations and is willing to face punishment if found guilty. She claims to have concrete evidence to support her allegations.
