Odisha is expected to experience heavy rainfall over the next four days due to a low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for several districts, indicating heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms.


Districts Under Warning:


- Yellow Warning: Keonjhar, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati districts are likely to experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

- Heavy Rainfall Expected: Coastal, north, and western Odisha are expected to receive heavy rainfall over the next four days.


Current Weather Conditions:


- Water Level Rising: The water level of Mahanadi and other rivers is rising due to heavy rainfall, prompting authorities to ban people from entering the rivers.

- Flood Water Discharge: The Hirakud reservoir is currently discharging floodwater through 16 gates.

- Bhubaneswar Weather: Today's temperature is expected to range from 79°F to 88°F, with a high chance of precipitation (60% ). Humidity levels are expected to be high, around 78%.
