Miscreants loot 200 gram gold from Gramya Bank in Nayagarh

Nayagarh: After Angul, miscreants looted about 200 gram gold and some cash from Odisha Gramya Bank at Sarangadharpur near Ranpur in Nayagarh district today.

Five armed miscreants entered the bank when customers were lined up for their transaction. They spread panic among the customers and staff at gun point. Later, they broke the lockers and decamped with the gold ornaments and cash. The exact amount of cash is still unknown. Bank officials informed the police following which a team was rushed to the spot and started investigation. They launched a manhunt to nab the looters.

In a similar incident, around six-miscreants looted Rs 20 lakh and gold from Andhra Bank branch in Angul at around 11 am today.
