Sundergarh: Sundergarh District Collector Vineet Bhardwaj inaugurated one Adarsha Vidyalaya (Model School) at Babu Nuagaon village under Kendrikela Panchayat of Bonaigarh block in Sundergarh district on Saturday.
The school has been constructed by the Tata Steel.
The school, along with the furnishings of the classrooms, has been constructed in cost of around Rs 4.5 crore. Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Company (JUSCO), a Tata Steel Group of company has built the two-story school building. It has 14 classrooms, furnished library, computer room, multi-purpose room, laboratories, teachers’ room and staff room etc.
Appreciating the Tata Steel for the initiative, Bhardwaj said such good educational infrastructure for Adarsha Vidyalaya in interior places like Bonaihgarh will go a long way in bringing quality education and harness the potential of meritorious students of the area in future.
The company has already handed over nine such schools to the State Government while work is in progress in another 13 schools, which are part of total 30 schools, Tata Steel is constructing, informed Thomas.
Bonai Sub-Collector Swadha Dev Singh, Tata Steel Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division Executive-in-Charge MC Thoams, Tata Steel Chief Resident Executive Manikanta Naik, JUSCO Executive-in-Charge Sanjeev Jha, Gomardih Dolomite Quarry head Rajesh Kumar and others were present, among others on the occasion.
