Naveen a burnt transfer, replace it: Amit Shah urges Odisha people

Puri: BJP President Amit Shah today exhorted the Odisha people to throw out the BJD government for failing to take up developmental works in the last 19 years of its governance.

While reiterating his old version against Naveen Patnaik government at the national ST convention in Puri, Shah said “Naveen Patnaik is a burnt transformer while Narendra Modi is a powerhouse. If the transformer could not provide electricity from the grid to people, don’t just replace the transformer, uproot and throw it out”.

Shah said that Modi has created district mineral funds for around 9,000 crore tribal people’s development. But, in Odisha the funds were not utilized for welfare of tribal people because of a weak government.

The condition of tribal people is just like Dana Majhi, who had to carry his wife’s body and covered a long distance in absence of morgue. The chief Minister should be ashamed of it. He has no moral rights to remain in Office, Shah added.

BJP government in Centre is spending crores for the development of Odisha, the funds could not reach the people in grassroots level in State. Still people are migrating to another State in search of job. Chief Minister of the State is grossly responsible for it, the BJP top brass pointed out.

Odisha needs such a CM who can understand Odia to fulfill the requirements of Odisha people, Shah said.

Similarly, the BJP leader said Modi government has announced KISHAN scheme under which the farmers will get Rs 6000 per annum directly through bank account. But, Congress is making mockery of pro-people scheme. Rahul Gandhi is now under depression after the budget because he is now thinking that his victory possibility is over.

Terming Congress as the B team of BJD, Shah appealed to the people to give a chance to BJP for all-round development of State. “Both BJD and Congress have remained in power for long tenure. But the fate of Odisha has not changed. Give us chance for one term, we will make the state most-developed”, Shah urged the people.

Modi government has launched DBT system to transfer money to directly to the bank account of beneficiaries because the UPA had another DBT system, which stands for Dealer Broker Transfer.

The BJP has launched 129 schemes for the people. But, not a single scheme of Naveen Patnaik government has yielded fruits. Due to the growing popularity of Narendra Modi, Naveen feared to implement the central schemes like Ayushman Bharat, he added.
