Bhubaneswar: Eminent film director and producer of Oda cine industry Chakradhar Sahu passed away following pro-longed illness today during treatment at the AIIMS Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Sources said Sahu was suffering from Rheumatoid arthritis. He was initially admitted to KIMS Bhubaneswar after he complained of difficulties in breathing and later shifted to AMRI Hospital. He was later shifted to AIIMS Hospital.
A product of FTTI, Pune in Film Editing, Sahu had offered many hit movies to the cine lovers.
He started his film career with “Nila Mastrani” in the year 1996. The movie brought accolades for him after he was felicitated with Odisha state film award for best editor.
Among his commercial movies “Tumaku Paruni Ta Bhuli” which was released in the year 2008, “Kebe Tume Nahan Kebe Mu Nahin” and ‘Meemansa’ was released in 2016.
