Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired a high-level review of the Health and Family Welfare Department today, directing officials to conduct field visits to accelerate infrastructure development.
A major highlight was the proposal to implement the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) statewide. To tackle doctor shortages, the CM discussed appointing 2-year DNB diploma doctors at all District Head Hospitals. Furthermore, the CM emphasized expanding Super Specialty services at SCB, MKCG, and VIMSAR, alongside increasing medical education seats.
Focusing on the nursing sector, the meeting prioritized curriculum reforms and digital skill-building for graduates. The CM also advocated for broader AYUSH integration, ensuring Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medicines are available at all Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
The meeting, attended by Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling and senior secretaries, also reviewed the progress of the state-of-the-art Trauma Care center at SCB Cuttack.
