Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has laid the foundation stone for 118 Godavarish Mishra Adarsh Primary Schools across 30 districts, starting at Banpur in Khordha. This landmark initiative aims to revolutionize primary education by establishing modern schools in every Gram Panchayat.

With a massive budget of ₹12,000 crore allocated through 2029, the government plans to strengthen 2,200 schools in the first phase. Each campus, costing between ₹5–7 crore, will feature a 5-acre green field, digital classrooms, and STEM facilities. Aligned with NEP 2020, the scheme prioritizes basic literacy, numeracy, and sports.

The event saw high-profile attendance, including School and Mass Education Minister Nityanand Gond and Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan. CM Majhi emphasized that these schools will serve as hubs of quality education, ensuring children in rural areas have access to world-class infrastructure and learning tools near their homes.
