Normal operations resumed at the Orissa High Court and district courts in Sambalpur and Deogarh today following a high-stakes bomb scare. The disruption began Thursday morning after an anonymous e-mail threatened multiple judicial premises, leading to immediate evacuations of lawyers, staff, and clients.

Following a rigorous sweep by Bomb and Dog Squads, AG Pitambar Acharya confirmed the threat was a "complete hoax" generated from Tamil Nadu. Chief Justice and three other judges resumed hearings shortly after the premises were declared secure.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who ordered an immediate probe, discussed the security breach with the Chief Secretary and DGP.

While no explosives were found, the CM has called a high-level meeting this evening to address the incident and ensure the culprits are apprehended.

Authorities have urged the public to remain calm, emphasizing that court security remains uncompromised.
