Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited the iconic Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Friday to review preparations for the highly-anticipated ODI match between India and England on February 9. During his visit, the Chief Minister released an Odia song titled "Swagat… Suswagat," specially composed for the match.
CM Majhi expressed satisfaction with the arrangements and preparations, which are being carried out under the direct supervision of the Odisha Cricket Association staff, district and state administration, and Sports Minister Suryavanshi Suraj. He also discussed the steps taken to ensure the comfort of spectators and players.
In a significant update, the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) announced that online ticket sales for the match will commence on February 2, with only 4,000 tickets available for online purchase. Offline ticket sales will take place at the Barabati Stadium counters on February 5 and 6, with a limit of two tickets per person upon producing valid ID cards.
The match is expected to be an exciting encounter, with India taking on England in the 2nd ODI of the series. The Barabati Stadium, with its capacity of 45,000 spectators, is all set to host a thrilling match.
