A tragic incident occurred at Nagira Garjankhol waterfall, located on the border of Keonjhar and Angul districts in Odisha. A youth went missing while bathing in the waterfall, and a search operation is currently underway.
Incident Details
- Victim's Identity: The deceased youth has been identified as Lipun Kumar Behera, the younger son of Arjun Behera from Balrai village in Keonjhar district.
- Incident: Lipun and two friends visited the waterfall and went for a bath, during which he drowned and went missing.
Rescue Efforts
- Search Operation: A search operation was initiated by the Banshapal Damakal Bahini after receiving information about the incident. The search was suspended due to evening but resumed the next morning with the involvement of Palhara police and Banshapal Damakal Bahini.
The rescue team is working to locate the missing youth.
