A pall of gloom descended on Bagalpur village this Mahashivaratri following the sudden demise of a Class 10 student. The deceased, identified as Mihir Pradhan, was a resident student at the Sri Aurobindo Purnanga Education Centre.
The incident occurred early morning when Mihir, while on a routine walk with his peers, suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed. Despite being rushed immediately to the Khallikote Community Health Center by his teachers, attending doctors tragically declared him brought dead.
The news sparked brief tension at the hospital as devastated family members, the local MLA, and the Tehsildar arrived. Order was restored following police intervention.
Authorities have since recovered the body for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of the sudden collapse. As the community mourns the "extinguishing of a young lamp" on a holy day, a formal investigation remains underway.
