A shocking incident of physical assault has been reported at the Gopalpur beach in Ganjam district, Odisha. A young woman was allegedly gang-raped by a group of youths in front of her male friend, who was tied up and assaulted.
The incident occurred at the Gopalpur beach on Saturday night around 9 pm.
The young woman and her male friend were attacked by a group of youths.
The male friend was tied up and assaulted, while the young woman was gang-raped.
However, the young woman filed a complaint at the Gopalpur police station.
7 youths from the Hinjilikatu area have been detained by the police.
The Gopalpur police station has started an investigation into the incident.
