The Odisha government has taken proactive measures to address the potential flood situation in the state due to heavy rainfall. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari informed that while there is no immediate danger signal in any river, the government is prepared to deal with any situation that may arise.


Districts Affected:


- Bhadrak: Experiencing heavy to very heavy rains, with people facing various problems.

- Jharsuguda: Heavy rainfall has caused issues, and damage assessments are underway.

- Sundergarh: Also experiencing heavy rainfall, with damage assessments in progress.



Relief and flood shelter are Prepared to deal with potential flood situations.

ODRAF and NDRF Teams are Deployed to rescue people in case of flooding in lower areas.

District Collectors are Instructed to be prepared and submit damage reports.

People Advised to remain vigilant and follow instructions from local authorities.

The government is ready to deal with any flood situation that may arise, with relief and rescue teams on standby.
