Odisha's Health Minister, Mukesh Mahalinga, visited AIIMS Bhubaneswar to assess the health condition of renowned Odia music director Abhijit Majumdar, who is currently in a coma. The minister was accompanied by MLA Babu Singh during the visit.
According to sources, Majumdar remains comatose but his vitals are stable, with improvements in kidney and liver function.
He's receiving treatment as per protocol, with a special medical team overseeing his care.
If necessary, Majumdar might be transferred to AIIMS Delhi for further treatment, pending discussions with medical experts.
The Odisha government has assured full financial support for Majumdar's treatment, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi involved in decision-making.
Majumdar faces multiple health issues, including Osmotic Demyelination Syndrome, bilateral pneumonia, and chronic liver disease.
The Odia music and film fraternity, including actor Babushaan Mohanty, have expressed concern and prayers for Majumdar's recovery.
