Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday congratulated former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on his appointment as Governor of Odisha.
Taking to X, the Union Minister said, “Congratulate Shri @dasraghubar on his appointment as Hon’ble Governor of Odisha. His experience and administrative capabilities will be beneficial for the prosperity and well-being of people of Odisha. I wish him a successful tenure in fulfilling aspirations and serving Odisha.”
President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday appointed Das as the Governor of Odisha. Das will replace incumbent Prof Ganeshi Lal. The appointment will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices.
Raghubar Das was the first non-tribal Chief Minister of Jharkhand (from 2014 to 2019). The former CM was elected to the Bihar and Jharkhand Assembly five times and represented the Jamsedpur East assembly seat from 1995 to 2019.
