On the third day of his home-district visit, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi delivered major developmental gifts to his native Raikala and surrounding regions ahead of Diwali.

The Chief Minister performed the bhumi pujan and laid the foundation stone for three mega lift irrigation projects under the Parbati Giri Mega Lift Irrigation Scheme, costing ₹118.54 crore. Set up in Raikala, Satikudar (Keonjhar), and Jarkani (Mayurbhanj), these projects will benefit roughly 28,000 farmers across 46 villages, enabling multi-crop cultivation. Highlighting his humble farming roots, CM Majhi pledged to bring 1.5 million hectares of land under irrigation within five years.

Additionally, the CM inaugurated a newly constructed Community Health Centre in Jhumpura worth ₹17.97 crore—equipped with specialist care, diagnostics, and trauma support—to serve over a lakh residents. At Raikala, he inaugurated a new State Bank of India branch to ease agricultural financing. Addressing a massive public gathering, he announced that the Kanupur Major Irrigation Project will be dedicated to the public this December, asserting that farmer prosperity drives state growth.
