The School of Hotel Management (SHM) at Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) has launched a four-day cooking training program, 'We Can Cook' and 'We Can Bake', aimed at empowering women and promoting self-reliance. The program was inaugurated in the presence of social worker Dr. Reena Chaudhary and Shri Dharanidhar Rana, Controller of Examinations, Utkal Sanskriti University.
Key Highlights of the Program
- Empowering Women: The program aims to recognize and nurture the hidden talents of women, promoting self-reliance and confidence.
- Culinary Skills: Over 60 participants from different parts of Odisha were trained in preparing Indian, continental, and Chinese cuisine, as well as bakery items and mocktails.
- Healthy and Nutritious Food: Emphasis was placed on preparing delicious and healthy food, highlighting the importance of nutrition and food safety.
Inaugural Ceremony
- Chief Guest: Dr. Reena Chaudhary, Chairperson of Women Self-Reliance Movement, encouraged participants to strengthen their self-confidence and willpower to achieve their goals.
- Guest of Honor: Shri Dharanidhar Rana praised the contestants and emphasized the importance of healthy and tasty food, highlighting the unique taste of a mother's cooking.
- Welcome Address: Dean of SHM, Professor Sushant Ranjan Chaini, welcomed the participants and encouraged them to prepare and serve nutritious food.
The program concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the participants.
