Special OTET Exam Rescheduled for August 31 After Question Paper Leak Controversy

The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has announced a new date for the Special Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (SOTET) following a question paper leak controversy. The exam will now be held on August 31 in two sittings.


Exam Details:


- Date: August 31, Sunday

- Paper I: 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM

- Paper II: 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM



- Admit Card Availability: Admit cards will be available on the official website, (link unavailable), starting August 22.

- Document Verification: Physically handicapped (PH) candidates must report to the Centre Superintendent with original documents four days before the exam to avail of necessary facilities.

- Result Cancellation: Candidates are warned that providing false or fake information will lead to cancellation of their result and potential prosecution.



- Question Paper Leak: The previous exam scheduled for July 20 was postponed due to a question paper leak, which went viral on social media.

- Investigation: The Crime Branch is investigating the incident, and some individuals involved in the leak have been arrested. Strict action will be taken against those responsible.
