The Tata company is set to build a massive project worth ₹63,000 crore in Jajpur district, generating employment for 34,000 people. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will lay the foundation stone on the 22nd.
The project is part of a larger infrastructure development worth ₹1.14 lakh crore. Industries Minister Sampada Chandra Swain confirmed that the agreement has been signed and work is underway.
The minister also warned industrial institutions that have not started work on government land, giving them a second chance. Failure to comply may result in land being taken back.
Jindal is building a plant on the former POSCO site in Jagatsinghpur, with work already in progress. The government is actively promoting industrial development in the state.
