A devastating road accident occurred near Ekta Chack in Nuapada, resulting in the death of a woman, Rukmini Sahu. The incident happened on Tuesday morning when Rukmini and her husband, Vishalal Sahu, were riding their bike to their in-laws' house on Khariar Road.
According to the information, the couple lost control of their bike near Ekta Chack. Meanwhilw a speeding truck ran over Rukmini's head, causing instant death.
Vishalal Sahu, husband of the deceased was injured and admitted to Nuapada District Headquarters Hospital.
However, local police have reached on the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
The body and the vehicle involved in the accident have been seized.
