Jeypore/Bhubaneswar: An aircraft in which Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was travelling made emergency landing at Jeypore airstrip due to inclement weather condition. The chopper was scheduled to land at Lanjigarh from where the chief minister would fly to Raygada to attend a government programme.
The office the chief minister confirmed that that the flight made emergency landing due to bad weather.
“Due to bad weather, CM aircraft could not land at Lanjigarh hence diverted to Jeypore. CM will leave for Raygada shortly by chopper and attend the scheduled programme one hour late. The report emergency landing at Jeypore is totally baseless”, an official statement stated.
Patnaik was slated to attend a ‘Mission Shakti’ meeting at Khaliguda at 11. 45 am and address around 80,000 women.
Apart from addressing the women’s conclave, Patnaik was scheduled to inaugurate 89 developmental projects worth Rs 738 crore. Besides, he will lay foundation stones
