Bhubaneswar: Highlighting the major achievements which his government has made in the four years in power, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today pitched for 3Ts formula (Transparency, Teamwork, and Technology) which brought about the reformation and vowed to work hard in coming days with 3Ds (Dedication, Determination and Devotion).
“3Ts of Transparency, Teamwork, and Technology will be our mantra to bring about this transformation. Let us pledge to work hard every minute to honour the faith of our people with Dedication, Determination and Devotion”, he addressed a presser after a review meeting with all his Cabinet ministers on the fourth anniversary of his government.
He said his government has adopted the policies what his party had made in its poll manifesto. As per the promise, the government had emphasised on housing scheme through which nearly 17 lakh pucca houses were constructed in last 4 years and 7 lakh more will be built soon. Ensuring pucca houses to poor is a real tribute to Biju Babu who always stressed for shelter, food and drinking water for everyone in the State, he said.
Pointing out the new law for urban slum dwellers, he said 10 lakh families residing in slum areas will get land rights through such initiative.
The CM claimed that Odisha is only state to have doubled farmers’ income and the state is the major contributors to nation’s food security. Highlighting his focus on agriculture, he said measures have been taken to sanction loan to share croppers at low interest rate. Millets Mission is benefiting the rainfed area farmers, he maintained.
While describing his works for road communication, he presented the achievement in constructing 600 bridges, 22,5000 km stretch rural road and bridges over Mahanadi, IB, Kathajodi and the much awaited Gurpriya bridge in Malkangiri which will be made operational shortly.
In health sector the government has set up four new medical colleges while five more are in the offing. The State achieved a sharpest decline in Infant Mortality rate in the country, he added.
Among other achievements Patnaik included women empowerment through Mission Shakti, model schools, study loans for students, scholarship for meritorious students and other campaign to develop the quality of education and drop the school dropout rate.
Skill development of youths through Odisha Skill Mission, large employment with setting up of industrial projects, electrification of 17 lakh households are also some of the key achievements the government had made in last four years, the CM pointed out.
Special development council for tribals and classical language status to Odia are two other achievements of his government, he claimed.
In Sports sector, successful organisation of Asian Athletics championships, sponsoring national hockey team are other achievements which were claimed by the CM.
