Sops for Anganwadi staff; CM announces salary hike, incentive

Bhubaneswar: The Anganwadi workers, Mini-workers and helpers got a reason to cheer as the State government today announced a big package for them ahead of election.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today hiked the salary of the workers, mini anganwadi workers and helpers. “Anganwadi workers will now get Rs 7500 per month against Rs 6000 they were getting. Mini Anganwadi workers will now get Rs 5300 against Rs 4125 they were getting,” CM announced.

Similarly, the helpers’ salary was also increased to Rs 3,750 from Rs 3,000. The age of their retirement has also been raised from 60 to 62 years.

What more has been added to their pleasure is the workers, mini workers and helpers will be given incentive of 20,000Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively as a measure of social security after retirement.

Further, they will also be entitled for a vacation of 15 days annually during summer season.
