The Gundicha Temple, revered as the birthplace of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, is set to open its doors to devotees, according to the Puri Municipal Executive Officer. This decision follows a high-level review meeting with the Chief Administrator and District Collector.
Devotees will be granted entry daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The temple administration will facilitate darshan, which will be accessible by purchasing tickets.
Significant preparations are underway to ensure an orderly and clean environment. A 20-member JTP squad will guard the temple premises. Furthermore, all surrounding shops will be demolished as part of a major cleanup and beautification drive to enhance the experience of visiting Mahaprabhu’s birthplace.
