On National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the 'Run for Unity' was organized at Kalinga Stadium this morning.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi graced the event, paying tribute to the 'Iron Man of India' before flagging off the run. The race commenced at Kalinga Stadium and concluded at Power House Chack.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister underscored that "unity in diversity" is the nation's core strength. He credited Sardar Patel's strong vision for uniting hundreds of princely states, resulting in the integrated India seen today.
CM Majhi invoked the spirit of the run as a symbol of unity and patriotism, appealing to citizens to work together to realize the dream of a developed India. The event saw participation from senior officers, students, athletes, and hundreds of citizens.
