The Subhadra Shakti Mela-2025, a major exhibition celebrating women's entrepreneurship, will be held at the IDC Exhibition Grounds from November 1 to 12. Deputy Chief Minister Parvathi Parida announced the event during a press conference on Thursday.
Organized by the Mission Shakti Department, the fair aims to showcase the potential and products of women Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The event will feature 300 stalls, including 50 food stalls dedicated to traditional cuisine.
This year marks a significant expansion, with women from approximately 11 states participating, elevating the fair to a national level. The event will promote Odisha's handicrafts, textiles, and cuisine, and will also feature the first-ever fashion show dedicated to Odia handlooms.
The fair, which runs daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., will include diverse evening cultural programs, such as Odissi, Chhau, Malkhamba, and Sambalpuri dances.
