Chief Minister Mohan Majhi announced a massive investment windfall of over ₹1 lakh crore for Odisha during the Investors Summit roadshow on Saturday. Addressing over 500 industry leaders, the CM invited global partners to join Odisha’s rapid transition into a value-added manufacturing hub.
The summit saw the signing of 27 MoUs with an investment potential of ₹81,864 crore, alongside 19 additional proposals worth ₹18,453 crore. Collectively, these projects are expected to generate more than 90,000 employment opportunities in the state.
Highlighting Odisha's strategic coastline and ports like Paradip and Dhamra, Majhi emphasized that the state is now "financially secure and economically strong." He noted that Eastern India has shifted from "potential to performance," with Odisha poised to lead the next phase of industrial growth through integrated value chains and sustainable infrastructure.
