With incessant rains and worsening floods causing severe waterlogging and disrupting traffic, the Jajpur District Magistrate has declared a holiday for all government, aided, and private schools as well as Anganwadi centers across the district.
While students stay home, teachers and staff must remain vigilant and report for duty during emergencies. The administration has urged parents to keep children away from flooded roads, rivers, and canals, and advised residents to stay indoors unless necessary. Shelter camps have been set up, providing cooked and dry food to affected citizens.
