Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has extended the 'Judicial Code Exhibition' in Bhubaneswar by two days, following its success in raising public awareness about India’s new criminal justice framework. The exhibition, now running until March 12, showcases the transition from British-era laws to the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), BNSS, and BHA.
Highlighting Odisha's progress, the CM revealed a remarkable 87.6% conviction rate and a 166% surge in Zero FIRs since the laws' implementation. The event features high-tech forensic tools, digital investigation stalls, and a live drama depicting the judicial process from crime scene to courtroom.
To further modernize the force, the state has partnered with IIT Bhubaneswar and the National Defence University. The exhibition remains a vital hub for students and citizens to witness the digital transformation of the Odisha Police.
