Krishna Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, is being celebrated according to the Hindu calendar on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha in the Bhadrapada month. In preparation for the festivities, the temple administration has announced that the public area will be closed from 7 pm to midnight for the Krishna Janma Niti.
Janmastami celebration will be held after evening prayers by Mahajan Sevak.
Janma Niti of Shri Krishna will continue till the Kansavadha Lila Niti.
Grand festivities, including Dahi Handi and Raslila performances are continuing at Mathura and Vrindaban.
