The world-famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath concluded with the Niladri Bije ritual, marking the deity's return to the Srimandir temple in Puri, Odisha. On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, Lord Jagannath, along with his brother Lord Balabhadra and sister Devi Subhadra, was ceremoniously brought back to the Ratna Singhasana inside the temple.



- Goti Pahandi: The return procession, known as Goti Pahandi, was performed by the Daita servitors, who brought the deities back to their abode with traditional music and dance.

- Symbolic Reconciliation: The Niladri Bije ritual featured a symbolic expression of divine love and reconciliation between Lord Jagannath and his consort, Maa Lakshmi, who was upset over being left behind during the Rath Yatra to Gundicha temple.

- Rasagola Offering: Lord Jagannath offered Rasagollas to Maa Lakshmi as a gesture of love and apology, which is a cherished tradition in Odisha's culinary and spiritual heritage.

- Devotees Gather: Thousands of devotees gathered to witness the ritual and seek blessings from the Lord.

- Nilachal Abhada: Devotees will receive Nilachal Abhada, a sacred offering, starting today, which is believed to carry the blessings of the Lord.

- Spiritual Significance: The Niladri Bije ritual marks the culmination of the Rath Yatra, symbolizing the cyclical journey of life, love, and redemption, reminding humanity of the eternal bond between the divine and the devotee.
