Haribabu Kambhampati, the newly appointed Governor of Odisha, arrived in Bhubaneswar today and was given a grand welcome at the airport. He was also accorded a guard of honor.
After his arrival, Kambhampati headed straight to Puri, where he will spend the night at the Raj Bhavan. Tomorrow, he will visit the Mahaprabhu Shri Jiu and then return to Bhubaneswar to take oath as the Governor of Odisha.
The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Raj Bhavan, where Kambhampati will be administered the oath by the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court.
After the ceremony, Kambhampati will take charge of the administration of Odisha.
Kambhampati succeeds Raghubar Das, who resigned as the Governor of Odisha. Prior to his appointment as the Governor of Odisha, Kambhampati served as the Governor of Mizoram from July 2021 to December 2024.
