To ensure public safety and boost city aesthetics, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has ordered the immediate removal of all illegal hoardings and structures exceeding the 40-foot height limit.
Key stretches, including AG Square to Housing Board Square via Lok Seva Bhawan and AG Square to Raj Bhavan Road, are now designated 'No-Hoarding Zones,' following past storm-related collapses. Under the Display of Advertisement Regulation, 2017, billboards must maintain a maximum height of 40 feet and a mandatory 8-foot ground clearance.
The civic body has issued notices to all advertising agencies, giving them one week to submit full details of their installations or face strict action.
