The Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has postponed the preliminary recruitment exams for Sevak, Sevika, and Tribal Language Teacher (TLT) positions scheduled for July 17 due to the statewide Odisha Bandh called by the Congress party. The bandh is in protest of the tragic death of Soumyashree Bisi, a 20-year-old student of Fakir Mohan Autonomous College in Balasore, who succumbed to burn injuries after allegedly facing harassment.
Postponed Exams:
- Sevak/Sevika and TLT Exams: The preliminary examination for these positions will be rescheduled, and the new date will be notified soon on the OSSSC website.
- Other Scheduled Exams: Preliminary examinations scheduled for July 18, 19, 21, and 23 will remain unchanged.
Impact on Other Exams:
- 7th Odisha Special Armed Force (OSAP) Physical Examination: The physical examination for housekeeper recruitment, initially set for July 16, has been postponed to July 18 due to logistical concerns.
