Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has presented a budget of Rs 2.9 lakh crore for the financial year 2025-26, with a significant focus on education. The sector has received an allocation of Rs 31,000 crore, marking an 18% increase from the previous budget.

- National Education Policy-2020: To be implemented in the academic year 2025-26
- Nursery Schools: 45,000 new schools to be opened
- Godavarish Mishra Adarsh Primary School: Rs 2960 crore allocated
- Heritage Schools: Rs 60 crore allocated for improvement of 50 old schools
- Pancha Sakha Shiksha Setu Abhiyan: Rs 140 crore proposed
- Mid-Day Meal: Expanded to include students of class IX and X
- Gangadhar Mehar Shiksha Manbrudi Yojana: Rs 193 crore allocated for bicycles for students
- Uniforms: Rs 194 crore proposed for students of classes 1 to 7
- Chief Minister's Education Award Scheme: Rs 139 crore proposed
- Hospitality Schools: Rs 660 crore allocated
