Major decisions were announced following a four-hour Shrimandir management committee meeting today, chaired by Gajapati Maharaja Divyasingh Dev.
Key approvals include a significant increase in financial support for temple servants. The monthly senior service allowance has been raised from ₹4,000 to ₹5,000, effective January 2026. Additionally, the marriage assistance for a servant’s daughter is doubled from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh, and assistance for a son’s wedding rises from ₹30,000 to ₹50,000.
To ensure transparency, the committee mandated that all donations will now be issued via computerized receipts, eliminating handwritten ones. Furthermore, the administration plans to collaborate with banks to enable devotees to make voluntary donations to the temple via an ATM option in Puri.
Chief Administrator Arvind Padhi also informed that the inventory of gemstones will be conducted in phases before Akshaya Tritiya, and the census will occur during periods of minimal temple rituals. The systematic darshan (viewing) system at the Natamandap will be studied again for non-interference with rituals. The proposal for making an additional set of gold ornaments for Srijiu was also accepted.
