In a shocking environmental shift, air quality in Bhubaneswar has surpassed Delhi’s pollution levels, triggering immediate emergency measures across the Twin Cities. Forest and Environment Minister Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia announced a stringent crackdown to combat the rising toxicity.

Key restrictions now in effect include:

Construction Ban: All activity prohibited between 6 PM and 10 AM.

Traffic Controls: Heavy vehicles and trucks are banned from entering city limits; night traffic is strictly regulated.

Waste Management: Burning coal in dhabas or setting fire to garbage is strictly outlawed.

Dust Suppression: Water tankers will spray National Highways three times daily.

The Minister warned that any "vandalism" or violation of these norms within municipal areas will face severe legal consequences. Both the Police and RTO have been mobilized to enforce these mandates. Residents are advised to minimize outdoor exposure as authorities scramble to restore the city's air quality.
